Co-Investments with business angel syndicates
The Co-Investment Fund provides equity financing to Finnish start-up companies alongside with business angel syndicates. Business Finland Venture Capital Ltd has invested EUR 30 million to the fund, and the fund started its operations December 2023.
The co-investment fund invests in investment targets prepared by business angel syndicates and proposed to the fund.
The business angel syndicate must have at least three angel investors, and these must be new investors to the company. Business angel groups can form freely and a business angel can participate in several business angel groups that invest in different companies.
The invests a maximum of the amount corresponding to the investment of the angel syndicate in the target company on the same terms. The amount of the initial co-investment in a target company is EUR 50,000-300,000, and the maximum amount of investments is EUR 600,000. As the preparation of the fund progresses, investment amounts in portfolio companies and other conditions will become more precise.
Innovestor Ventures Oy is the management company of the fund. Innovestor Ventures Oy is responsible for portfolio and risk management as well as reporting of the fund.
